Welcome to Driffield School

Situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, Driffield is an attractive market town surrounded by productive agricultural land. Driffield School and Sixth Form, with its outstanding modern facilities, offers education for 11 -19 year old students who live within its large rural catchment area, and increasingly to students from further afield attracted by its reputation and academic excellence.

With an expansive 40 acre site Driffield School and Sixth Form’s facilities are truly impressive and in continuing development. The ACE Centre (ART, Community and Enterprise) opened in November 2011 and provides an outstanding new environment for learning.  This building compliments recent additions including a new community Sports Centre and the Performing Arts complex.

Standing at the heart of a thriving and supportive local community, the school has excellent links with local services, voluntary groups and businesses. The school has a vertical tutor system organised around 6 Houses that encourages both a family ethos and healthy competition. Students also benefit from a very strong Student Services Team and a well-established Multi-Agency approach.

Textiles studentsAt Driffield School and Sixth Form we are committed to working in partnership with our parents and other stakeholders to provide the highest possible standard of education for all students of all abilities. We are very proud of our school and its achievements and we offer a positive and exciting learning environment and a quality of teaching and learning which is second to none.

Already recognised by OFSTED (November 2011) as a good school with outstanding features, we are firmly committed to being outstanding in every possible respect. We look forward to sharing our values, passion for learning and vision for the future.
