Driffield Sixth Form offers a bursary to all students returning to us to study further education.  It is means tested and students with families with an annual household income of below £42,000 are eligible to apply.

The bursary is to help towards travel, meal costs and course studies, whilst attending college which will include a weekly amount on a school food card and financial help with stationary, books, pens & any other equipment that is needed for each A-Level course.

If students eligible for a bursary require a bus pass they must first purchase one online from www.eastriding.gov.uk then bring a receipt to the Finance Office as proof of purchase.  We can then offer a full or partial refund of the cost of the pass depending on what level of bursary the student is eligible for.

There is also a separate bursary for any students who are:

  • In receipt of income support/Employment Support Allowance
  • Care leavers or are still in care
  • In receipt of Disability Living Allowance
