Religious Education
Religious Education at Driffield School follows the guidelines set out in the East Riding Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education. Within Key Stage 3, all students study the main Christian traditions and the other principal religions represented in Great Britain today.

In Year 7 this involves exploring the following themes:
- Introduction to Religious Education; exploring religious practice and beliefs
- What is belief?
- Beliefs about God
- Sacred Writings
- Religious Communities.
Each theme uses a thematic approach, drawing examples from Christianity and the other major religions in Britain today.
Students will be encouraged to consider the meaning and importance of these religions for religious people and to reflect on some important questions about the meaning and importance of life.
