Bullying Awareness Campaign
Driffield School has a “zero tolerance” policy towards bullying. Our Bullying Awareness Campaign aims to:

- Promote a system in which all students, parents and staff can have confidence
- Encourage students and parents to report bullying to the school
- Take all reports of bullying seriously and have trained staff available to deal with incidents
- Listen, investigate, consult and take action to make the bullying stop
- Support any student who is being bullied
- Respond to feedback from students, parents and staff
- Have a whole school approach to bullying the whole of the time
How bullying is dealt with in school
Any student who is being bullied, or who is aware of bullying taking place, is encouraged to report incidents to their House Tutor or one of our specially trained student Anti-bullying Mentors.
Students can also go to the Chat Room, where they will receive help and advice, or approach one of the anti-bullying Mentors who are available on the school site at lunchtime.
Any parent who has a concern about bullying is asked to discuss it with their child’s House Tutor as soon as possible.
The school treats all reports of bullying very seriously; incidents will be thoroughly investigated, all parties will be consulted and an action plan, designed to make the bullying stop, will be agreed and implemented.
