Student Drop-in Services
There is a wide range of services students can access on the school site, including:

Health Point
Run by: School Health Advisor
Location: West Annexe
Opening times: Mon - Thurs 8.30am to 4.30pm, Fri 4pm
- First aid
- Supervision and administration of student’s medication
- Management of vaccination and health screening programmes
- General health promotion
School Nurse Drop-in
Run by: School Nurse Location: Year 13 Centre
Opening times: Wed 12.40pm to 1.30pm (weekly)
- Advice, information and support on any health related issues including diet, smoking, obesity and anorexia, mental health, bullying drugs and alcohol
Connexions
Run by: Trained Connexions Personal Advisors
Location: East Building
Opening Times: There are two full-time Connexions PAs in school
- Support for young people aged between 13 & 19
- Advice and guidance on careers, jobs, training and voluntary work
- Practical help and support with housing, money worries, health issues, pregnancy, drugs and alcohol, family/friendship worries
Youth Service
Run by: Trained Youth Workers
Location: East Building
Opening times: There is one full-time and several part-time Youth Workers operating at school
- Intensive support work for young people at risk of/or excluded
- Engaging Young People in a range of current initiatives
- Youth Club provision outside of school
School-Home Support Worker (attendance)
Run by: School-Home Support Worker
Location: East Building
Opening times: By appointment
- Support for students for non-attendance
- Early intervention support for families
- Referrals are made via Student Services Team
Parent Support Advisor
Run by: Parent Support Advisor Location: West Building (and with Primary School Partners) Opening times: By appointment
- Support for students for on a range of issues that may cause barriers to school attendance or access to learning
- Early intervention support for families
- Referrals are made via Student Services Team
Counselling Service
Run by: Qualified Counsellor
Location: Student Services, West Building
Opening times: One morning weekly
- Support and help for young people with emotional problems
- Referrals are made via Student Services Team
The Chat n Chill Room
Run by: Student Anti-bullying Mentors with Staff support
Location: Old Sport's Centre Opening times: Every lunchtime 12.40pm to 1.20pm
- Lunchtime drop-in for any student who is being bullied, or wants to report a bullying incident
- Advice, help and support from trained Mentors and adult staff members
