Driffield School and Sixth Form STEM Event

On Friday 31st January 2020 we welcomed the dynamic BAE Systems, the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force Roadshow.  It was a fully interactive theatrical production.  Year 7 and 8 students learnt about different energy types including renewable and non-renewable energy.  The show incorporated using new technology to reduce energy usage.  It highlighted the importance of STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and maths) and why the skills learnt in these subjects are required in many future careers.  Mrs Mortimer, Coordinator of Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG), said “Our thanks go to BAE Systems, the RAF and the Royal Navy for sponsoring the event”.
