Courses & Classes for Adult Learners
At Driffield School & Sixth Form we aim to work closely with all providers of adult courses and classes to promote as wide a range of adult learning opportunities in the Driffield area as possible.
We aim to:

- Develop Driffield School as a Centre for Excellence for Community & Adult Learning to help address the identified regional skills shortages within local business, community groups and adult learners.
- Work with local training and adult education providers to identify gaps in the provision of adult education and develop a varied programme of accredited and non-accredited adult learning opportunities in the Driffield area.
- Help promote and support the many classes for adults which are run by private individuals and organisations on the school site each week.
A range of courses and classes, from ICT, Zumba, Maths GCSE and book-keeping to T'ai Chi, interior design, Spanish and jewellery-making (to name but a few), is offered each term.
The East Riding of Yorkshire Council Adult Education Service works in partnership with Driffield School to raise participation, achievement and personal fulfilment in learning and training. It provides access to a high quality service, which meets the knowledge and skills needs of the learner and the community.
The Service provides locally based provision, from non-accredited up to Level 5 accredited, primarily for 19+ adults, but with some provision for 16-18 year olds. The Service operates from 9 centres and delivers provision in 167 venues throughout the East Riding of Yorkshire.
For more information about the Service, or to find out about courses being offered in centres throughout the region, please contact one of our local offices: Bridlington: 01262 677500, Hornsea: 01964 533942.
