To meet the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998, the school has issued a Fair Processing Notice (layer one) to pupils and parents with the October 2007 school newsletter and this information is also included in the School Prospectus. This notice summarises the information held about pupils, why it is held, and the third parties to whom it may be passed on.

The Fair Processing Notice is broken down into three layers as follows:

Layer One: a brief one page notice.

Layer Two: an amplification giving more information about the organisations who have access to information and the uses they make of it.

Layer Three: the full Fair Processing Notice.
