DRIFFIELD SCHOOL ASSOCIATION

Is always seeking parents to join other parents and staff in raising funds for the school.

Dates for this year:-

Monday 17th March...Easter Egg Bingo, 7-30pm, West Hall, donations of 72 eggs required please. Send to East office.   

Friday 18th April..A Night at the Races. 8 horse races on the big screen. North hall, 8pm. Bring own picnic suppers, drinks and glasses.

Tuesday 22 April.. Fashion Show, Performing Arts Block, 7-30pm. a repeat of last years highly successful event.

Sunday 8th June. Annual Giant Car Boot and Plant sale. School field, 9am-12 noon.

Sunday 7th December. 16th Annual Christmas Craft Fair, North Hall

 The Driffield School Association is a group of parents and teachers that seeks to support the school by raising funds for activities and equipment.

It is important for the well being of the children that they have the opportunities to develop and meet their full potential. To enable the school to continue to achieve such excellent standards in developing our children, it requires additional resources and financial help.

Previously money has been made available to fund :-

Lighting for the performance arts studio
Trophies and equipment for activities and sports
A booklet produced by students for new pupils
Digital cameras
The twilight bus service
Musical instruments

These are only an indication of the benefits our pupils receive from the DSA. The DSA works to raise money and then works with the staff to decide on how best to distribute the funds. Previously the DSA has raised £5000 per year. Now with the growth of the school and development of out of school activities, there is a need for money in excess of this amount. The normal way of fund raising is by: -

This year we have designed a school calendar, featuring artwork from Driffield School, these can be bought through any of the school offices or in many of the shops in Driffield Town.

Our AGM is on Wednesday 16 th January 2008 at 7pm, in the West Annexe, Driffield School.

The DSA needs more parents to be actively involved in fund raising, and to bring in new ideas and enthusiasms to undertake these important activities.
