Personal Learning and Thinking Skills Theme Day - 20 April 2010

Pupils will be expected to arrive in the correct PE kit and not school uniform. Pupils do not need to bring their school books, but must have their pencil case and planner for the day. It is also advisable to bring a bottle of water and a snack. All mobile phones and electronic equipment must be left at home.

Kit for the day:
White school PE top
Dark tracksuit bottoms
Dark PE shorts
Trainers
Plain, Dark tracksuit top or jumper
Pupils must also remember to bring any inhalers, which they usually have during physical exercise.

If you son/daughter is unable to take part in the practical activities it is very important that they still come to school in the correct PE kit and not school uniform. They must also have a note in their planner to explain why they cannot take part.

Pupils are expected to arrive at school as normal and attend their form for registration. There will not be a Year 7 assembly at the start of the day, so it is important that your son or daughter checks the lists in the front of each building, before Tuesday, so that they know which group they are in and where they need to go during the day. School breaks and lunchtimes will run as normal.

North Gate Path

North Path Gate

In order to enhance safeguarding of students further we are changing the times that the North Path gate will be open from the start of the summer term.

It will be open at the following times:

Early morning until 8.45 am

12.30 – 12.40 pm

1.10 – 1.20 pm

From 3.30 pm

At other times entry to and from Bridlington Road can be made via the main entrance on Manorfield Road.
